Operands

OperandDescription
S1The first operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
S2The second operand.
Entries are 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants.

The 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H0000 ~ H9999.
DThe third operand.
Entries are only 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers.
This is where the product is saved.

Notice

Error Flag (F11.0) Notice

The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type.

F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for adding exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2.
F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for S1 or S2 is not binary-coded decimal (BCD) data.

BCD Operation

The BADD and BADDP instructions perform raw Hexadecimal addition.

  • Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
    • A-F will NOT work.
Product Storage

The BMUL and BMULP instructions behave as follows:

  • The product of S1 × S2 is saved in the 4-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data register, D.
    • The lower 4 digits of the product are saved in D.
    • The upper 4 digits of the product are saved in D+1.
