Operands
| Operand | Description |
|---|---|
| S1 | The first operand. Entries are 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants. The 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H00000000 ~ H99999999. |
| S2 | The second operand. Entries are 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers or constants. The 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) value range is H00000000 ~ H99999999. |
| D | The third operand. Entries are only 8-digit binary-coded decimal (BCD) data registers. This is where the difference is saved. |
Notice
Error Flag (F11.0) Notice
The error flag, F11.0, will be ON for one scan when the address of the data register assigned by @D exceeds the range of the data register, D. The range of the data register, D, is dependent on the CPU type.
F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for subtracting exceeds the data register assigned to S1 or S2.
F11.0 turns ON when the value of the data for S1 or S2 is not binary-coded decimal (BCD) data.
BCD Operation
The DBSUB and DBSUBP instructions perform raw Hexadecimal subtraction.
- Only the numbers 0-9 can be used.
- A-F will NOT work.
Tip: Signed Notation
The value range for DBSUB and DBSUBP is H00000000 ~ H99999999.
- If the DBSUB or DBSUBP instruction is executed while the value for the difference data register, D, is H00000000, the overflow value for the difference data register, D, will begin at H80000001.
Tip: Operand Subtraction Format
S2 is subtracted from S1.
