Pulse-Width Modulation for PLC-S Special Program Introduction

Pulse-Width Modulation Introduction

This section provides a comprehensive overview of PWM output capabilities within CICON. Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) is a crucial feature for applications requiring precise control of output signals, commonly used in motor speed control, lighting regulation, and industrial process automation.

PWM output can be implemented using various hardware options depending on system requirements. The CM3-SP32PWM module provides up to 12 independent PWM channels, each supporting fine-tuned duty cycle control and ramp adjustments for smooth signal transitions. This module allows frequency control in groups of four channels, with a maximum programmable frequency of 4,000pps and a duty cycle resolution of 0.1%.

For applications demanding precise waveform modulation, the CM3-SP32PWM module offers a reliable solution, enabling advanced control capabilities when integrated into PLC-S systems. Additionally, seamless configuration through CICON ensures flexible programming and optimization for industrial environments.
