CM3 Serial Communication Module​


The CM3-SP02ERS and CM3-SP02ERR modules from CIMON serve as specialized serial communication interfaces designed to support RS-232C connectivity. The CM3-SP02ERS offers an additional RS-422/485 interface on its second channel, enabling robust data exchange in automation setups, while the CM3-SP02ERR supports dual RS-232C channels for more straightforward configurations. These modules facilitate multiple communication modes, including HMI, Modbus (Master and Slave), and user-defined protocols, allowing for versatile integration within industrial systems. With transmission speeds ranging from 1,200 to 38,400bps, these modules support reliable data communication across various applications.

  • Read and write data through the HMI protocol.
  • Supports the HMI protocol for multi-drop.
    • Maximum 32 unit communication available through RS-422/RS-485.

    • 300 ~ 38,400bps
  • The RS-232C, RS-422, or RS-485 ports can be used as an independent channel or linked channel.
  • Support for 1:1, 1:N, or N:M if using RS-485.
  • Supports full-duplex for RS-422 and half-duplex for RS-485.
  • Support for Modbus RTU Master and Slave.
  • The RS-422 and RS-485 channels use photocoupler insulation to prevent noise.
