  1. Configure the communication type, baud rate, parity bit, data bit, stop bit, or response delay.
    • Communication Type:
      • Null (1:1 cable)
      • Leased Line Modem
      • Dial Up Modem
    • Baud Rate:
      • 300
      • 600
      • 1,200
      • 2,400
      • 4,800
      • 9,600
      • 19,200
      • 38,400
    • Parity Bit:
      • None
      • Even
      • Odd
    • Data Bit:
      • 8
    • Stop Bit:
      • 1
      • 2
    • Response Delay:
      • 0ms ~ 200ms
      • This depends on the host device. If the response of the CM1-SC01DNP is too fast, the host may not receive data. 50ms delay is recommended in this case.

  1. Configure the DNP3.0 settings: data link layer, application layer, or DNP master.

    • Data Link Layer:
      • DNP Address: Assign the DNP number to the DNP module.
      • Time-out: Number of seconds before timing out the request.
      • Retry: Number of times to retry connecting.
    • Application Layer:
      • Application Confirm: DNP module checks the communication status from the host.
      • Unsolicited Response: If assigned data changes, the DNP module sends the changed data to the host.
      • Time-out: Number of seconds before timing out the request.
      • Retry: Number of times to retry connecting.
    • DNP Master:
      • DNP Address: Host address.
  2. Once the settings are configured, click OK to confirm and apply the changes.

  3. To save the configured parameters to the PLC, click Write.

  4. Click Read to check the parameters.

  5. For real-time monitoring and module diagnostics, click Status. This displays the current value, minimum and maximum values, firmware version of the module, and any error codes.
