Project Transferring

With the Xpanel, projects can be uploaded to or downloaded from an external storage device like a USB or SD card, or the computer via USB mini-B, USB-C, or Ethernet.

External Storage Device

Projects can be uploaded to or downloaded from USB flash drives or SD cards.

Note: USBs must be formatted in exFAT or FAT32 to be used with the eXT, nXT, and eXT2 series.

To upload or download a project from the external device, click Project Transfer.

If the external device can be read by the Xpanel, it will display under Detected Devices.

To upload the current project on the Xpanel to the external device, click the external device, Xpanel > External Device, and Transfer Project.

To download a new project on the Xpanel from the external device, click the external device, External Device > Xpanel, the project to download, and Transfer Project.

Computer

If you want to upload the project from the Xpanel to the computer, connect the Xpanel to the computer via USB mini-B, USB-C, or Ethernet.

In Canvas, click the Open Connection Setup icon.

Locate the Xpanel to upload to. If the Xpanel is connected via Ethernet, the IP address will appear. Otherwise, USB is the connection option for the USB mini-B or USB-C.

Select Upload (HMI -> PC) to upload the Xpanel project to the computer.

Select Download (PC -> HMI) to download a new project on to the Xpanel.
