Runtime

Runtime is when the project is actively running on the Xpanel. To exit the runtime means to close the project and exit to the settings menu.

Long press is the default method to exit the runtime as of 4.2.0.
Three-corner is the default method to exit the runtime in version 4.1.0 and lower.

Refer to Changing Runtime Method to use the long press or three-corner method.

Long Press Method

To open the settings menu with the long press method, press and hold on the screen for three (3) seconds.

Note: using the long press method on an object with an on press, release, or double-click action bound to it will NOT bring up the settings menu.

The settings menu will appear after three seconds.

Three-Corner Method

To open the settings menu with the three-corner method, press the bottom-left, bottom-right, and top-right corners in order. A white box will appear after each corner is pressed.

The settings menu will appear after clicking the top-right corner.

Open Xpanel Settings

After using the long press or three-corner method, open the Xpanel settings menu by clicking Exit.

To open the Xpanel settings, click Settings. To return to the runtime and view the project, click Canvas Viewer.

Change Runtime Method

Navigate to Runtime Settings.

Select the Three Corner option to use the three-corner method. Select the Long Press (3s) option to use the long press method.
