Xpanel Settings Information

Xpanel Settings Tables

Runtime Settings

Item	Description
Frame Monitor	Opens the Frame Monitor window to monitor I/O devices connected to the Xpanel.
System Log	Opens the System Log window to view previous actions that occurred on the Xpanel.
Open Notifications	Opens the Notifications window to display all notifications that occurred.
Settings	Opens the Settings window to control the Xpanel settings.
About	Opens the About settings to view the Canvas Viewer version and software acknowledgements.

Frame Monitor

Item	Description
Start	Starts monitoring I/O device communication.
Stop	Stops monitoring I/O device communication.
Clear	Clear the monitoring information.
Device Name	Monitors the selected device.
Hex/ASCII	Displays packet information in Hexadecimal or ASCII.

System Log

Item	Description
Timestamp	The date and time when the action occurred.
Message	The action that occurred.

Open Notifications

Item	Description
Timestamp	The date and time when the notification was sent.
Notification	The notification message that was sent.

Settings

Item	Description
User Settings	Opens the User Settings window.
Home	Opens the home settings menu.
Exit	Exits the settings menu and returns to the project.
About Xpanel	Opens the About Xpanel settings.
General	Opens the General settings.
Services	Opens the Services settings.
Network Settings	Opens the Network settings.
System Settings	Opens the System settings.
Project Management	Opens the Project Management settings.
User Data	Opens the User Data settings.
Security	Opens the Security settings.

User Settings

Item	Description
Change Password	Changes the password of the currently logged in user. This cannot be recovered if lost.
Cancel	Close the current window.
Log Out	Log out of the current user.

About Xpanel

Item	Description
Device	Opens the Device information tab.
System Metrics	Opens the System Metrics tab.
Ethernet	Opens the Ethernet information tab.
License Info	Opens the License information tab.

Device

Item	Description
Host Name	Displays the hostname of the Xpanel as it will appear on the network.
Product Name	Displays the part name of the Xpanel.
Xpanel Version	Displays the current Xpanel and Canvas Viewer version of the Xpanel.
OS Version	Displays the current operating system version of the Xpanel.
Kernel Version	Displays the current kernel version of the Xpanel.
System Time	Displays the current date and time of the Xpanel.

System Metrics

Item	Description
CPU	Expands information about the CPU on the Xpanel.
Memory	Expands information about the memory on the Xpanel.
Network	Expands information about the network the Xpanel is connected to.

CPU

Item	Description
Average CPU Usage	Displays the total amount of CPU usage each core is using.

Memory

Item	Description
RAM	Displays the total usage and free space remaining for the RAM.
Local Storage	Displays the total usage and free space remaining for the local storage.

Network

Item	Description
Ethernet 1	Displays the transmission and reception speed for the first Ethernet port.
Ethernet 2	Displays the transmission and reception speed for the second Ethernet port (if applicable).

License Info

Item	Description
License Information	Displays the Canvas licensing information.

General

Item	Description
Language	Opens the Language tab.
Sound	Opens the Sound tab.
Display	Opens the Display tab.
Touch Calibration	Opens the Touch Calibration tab.
Screen Saver	Opens the Screen Saver tab.
Screen Orientation	Opens the Screen Orientation tab.

Language

Item	Description
English	Sets the system language to English.
Korean	Sets the system language to Korean.
Reset	Sets the system language to default.
Apply	Sets the system language to whichever language was chosen.

Sound

Item	Description
Touch Beep	Enables/disables the static buzzer beeping noise when the screen is pressed.
Audio	Enables/disables audio output from the audio jack on the Xpanel (if applicable).
Volume Slider	Adjusts the volume of the audio output.

Display

Item	Description
Dark Mode	Enables/disables dark mode for the settings menu.
Brightness	Adjust the brightness of the Xpanel screen.

Touch Calibration

Item	Description
Check Touch Precision	Runs a test program to track the precision of each screen press.
Touch Calibration	Runs a program to reset the touch calibration of the screen.

Screen Saver

Item	Description
Auto Dimming	Enables/disables the Xpanel screen's dimming feature.
Delay (sec)	The time, in seconds, before the Xpanel screen dims.
Auto Sleep	Enables/disables the Xpanel screen's sleep feature.
Delay (min)	The time, in minutes, before the Xpanel sleeps.

Screen Orientation

Item	Description
Standard	Orients the screen at 0° (landscape).
90°	Orients the screen at 90° (portrait).
180°	Orients the screen at 180° (landscape).
270°	Orients the screen at 270° (portrait).
Apply	Applies the screen orientation settings.

Services

Item	Description
RDP/VNC Server Setup	Opens the RDP/VNC Server Setup tab.
FTP Server Setup	Opens the FTP Server Setup tab.

RDP/VNC Server Setup

Item	Description
Enable RDP/VNC Server	Enables/disables RDP or VNC on the applicable Xpanel.
Change Password	Changes the password for RDP or VNC login. Default username: user Default password: passwd

FTP Server Setup

Item	Description
Enable FTP Server	Enables/disables the FTP server on the Xpanel.
Change Password	Changes the password for FTP login. Default username: ftp Default password: ftp
Write Access	Enables/disables write access for FTP on the Xpanel.
Allow USB Access	Enables/disables USB access for FTP on the Xpanel.
Allow SD Access	Enables/disables SD access for FTP on the Xpanel.
Allow Local Access	Enables/disables local storage access for FTP on the Xpanel.

Network Settings

Item	Description
Name Server	Opens the Name Server tab.
IP Config	Opens the IP configuration tab.
Bridge Service	Opens the Bridge Service tab.

Name Server

Item	Description
Host Name	The name the of the Xpanel as it appears on the network.
Primary DNS	The primary DNS address.
Secondary DNS	The secondary DNS address.

IP Config

Item	Description
Address Type	Select between a static IP address or DHCP from the network.
IP Address	If Static is selected, the IP address of the current Ethernet port.
Subnet Mask	If Static is selected, the subnet mask of the current Ethernet port.
Gateway	If Static is selected, the gateway address of the current Ethernet port.
MAC Address	The MAC address of the Ethernet port.

Bridge Service

Item	Description
Enable Bridge Service	Enables/disables bridge service. This setting forces both Ethernet ports to share the same IP address (if applicable). It takes about 30 seconds to enable bridge service.

System Settings

Item	Description
System Time	Opens the System Time tab.
Device Update	Opens the Device Update tab.
Watchdog Timer	Opens the Watchdog Timer tab.
Comm. Startup Delay Timer	Opens the Communication startup delay timer tab.
Reset & Recovery	Opens the Reset & Recovery tab.

System Time

Item	Description
Current System Time	Displays the current date, time, and timezone on the Xpanel.
Change Time	Manually enter the time.
Set Timezone	Manually select the timezone.
24-hour Time	Enables/disables 24-hour time. When disabled, the Xpanel time functions on 12-hour time.
Daylight Saving Time	Enables/disables daylight saving time calculation.
Automatic Sync	Enables/disables automatic syncing of the Xpanel and an available network time protocol (NTP) server.
NTP Server	Defines a network time protocol (NTP) server to sync with.
One Time Sync	Manually sync the Xpanel with the network time protocol (NTP) server.

Device Update

Item	Description
Detected Device	Displays the current extended storage device plugged into the Xpanel.
Select Update File	Displays the update files. Enabled after selecting the extended storage device.

Select Update File

Item	Description
Application Update	Updates the Xpanel and Canvas Viewer version using an applicable `.bin` file.
System Update	Updates the Xpanel operating system using an applicable `.swu` file.

Confirm Update

Item	Description
Target Package	Displays the version the Xpanel will update to.
Current Version	Displays the current version of the Xpanel.
Type	Displays the type of update to attempt.
Export current project to USB/SD	Exports the current `.cnvs` project on the Xpanel to the extended storage device.
Import converted project to device	Imports the current `.cnvs` project on the extended storage device to the Xpanel.
Wipe current settings and data	Resets the saved settings and data on the Xpanel.

Watchdog Timer

Item	Description
Enable Watchdog Timer	Enables/disables the internal watchdog timer on the Xpanel.
Delay (sec)	The time, in seconds, before the control center restarts the project.

Comm. Startup Delay Timer

Item	Description
Enable Comm. Startup Delay Timer	Enables/disables the communication start up delay timer.
Delay (sec)	The time, in seconds, before the Xpanel runtime starts.

Reset & Recovery

Item	Description
Restart Device	Manually restarts the Xpanel.
Restore Factory Settings	Restores the Xpanel to default factory settings.

Project Management

Item	Description
Project Transfer	Opens the Project Transfer tab.
Restart Project	Opens the Restart Project tab.

Project Transfer

Item	Description
Enable Project Transfer	Enables/disables project transfer between the Xpanel and computer or extended storage device.
Detected Device	Displays the current extended storage device plugged into the Xpanel.
Select File	Opens the Select File window.

Select File

Item	Description
Xpanel → External Device	Transfers the current `.cnvs` project on the Xpanel to the extended storage.
External Device → Xpanel	Transfers the current `.cnvs` project on the extended storage device to the Xpanel.

Restart Project

Item	Description
Restart Project	Closes runtime and restarts the current project.

User Data

Item	Description
User Data	Opens the User Data tab.

User Data

Item	Description
Select All	Selects all file types to delete.
Project	Selects all project files to delete.
Recipe	Selects all recipe files to delete.
Data Log	Selects all data log files to delete.
Alarm Database	Selects the alarm database to delete.
Persistent Tag	Selects all persistent tag data to delete.
CSV File	Selects all `.csv` files to delete.
Clear Selected Data	Deletes all selected saved data from the Xpanel.

Security

Item	Description
User Management	Opens the User Management tab.
Auto Logout	Opens the Automatic logout tab.

User Management

Item	Description
User	Displays all Identity and Access Management users, groups, and permissions.
Add	Adds a new user to the Identity and Access Management features within the Xpanel.
Edit	Edits the information for an existing user within the Xpanel's Identity and Access Management.
Delete	Deletes the user from the Xpanel's Identity and Access Management.
Reset	Resets any changes made to the Xpanel's Identity and Access Management.
Apply	Applies any changes made to the Xpanel's Identity and Access Management.

Auto Logout

Item	Description
Auto Logout	Enables/disables the automatic logout feature.
Timeout (hour : min)	The time, in hours and minutes, before the currently logged in user is logged out.
Reset	Resets any changes made to the Auto Logout tab.
Apply	Applies any changes made to the Auto Logout tab.

Item	Description
Canvas Viewer Version	Displays the current Canvas Viewer version.
Software Acknowledgements	Displays the Canvas licensing information.
